I'm so glad I'm not a thirteen year old boy...

Jamie, Thirteen year old boys are nasty. They smell, they look dirty and they are constantly trying to be awful...or at least not get caught being nice. After meeting some really nasty boys the other night at Brett's friend's paintball birthday party I am reminded why I never gave boys the time of day until well into high school. Once in high school, guys start caring what girls think of them and some what clean up their act. How lovely. What a snobby tween I was...well worth it though. I am so glad I never went out with any of my not so secret admirers in middle school. I was asked out 100 times a day...and at least once a day someone would ask for my hand in marriage.

So I have been searching for cute apartments and found this cute loft apartment in South Tampa for super cheap! Pretty cute huh?! I love the high ceilings and that it has a back yard for Truman and my soon to be rose garden!

MOVING...

Dear Jamie,

I am so excited to move...some days I wish it was already January...especially at work, dealing with annoying and demanding biatches....but other days I hope that time will move slowly to ensure I have many fun times with my closest friends.....like yoooooooooouuuuuuu.

This is going to be so much fun. I can't wait to send you photos of all of my adventures and my new surroundings and friends...hopefully I will have a super cute apartment and meet some interesting people to hang with. Also you are going to have to send me photos of all of your adventures as a married lady...on your many honeymoons, and your hunt for the perfect home. And if you could come and visit it me in Stockholm, that would just be amazing.

Doesn't my room look cozy. Sweden during the winter is very dark...it nearly doesn't have daytime. I am going to have to get used to this...with lots of candles, and mini lights....sounds quite wonderful, and beautiful.

SUPER INTERESTING FIND ON FLICKR TODAY!!! someone used my artwork for their artwork...that is such a compliment and totally unexpected...I wonder if anyone else has saved my postcards because they enjoy my work so much. SWEET!



Also my work will be shown in [5] art's newest location in the WEST TAMPA CENTER FOR THE ARTS...which by the way I had no idea existed. It is quite the cool old building and lots of artists are working within it...it still needs a whole lot more help...it looks unfinished and not very welcoming.......but it takes time here in Tampa. poo poo.

FREE DAY

Dear Jamie,

The little art sale I was supposed to be involved in was cancelled again for today....won't be happening until August. Poo. This morning I packed up my car with all my sweet arty items...for nothing.

BUT NOW I HAVE A FREE DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sooooo in love with Camilla Engman....I read her blog everyday...she presents so much information, and new artists that I would never come across. I also adore the pictures of her house and her sweet little doggie...and her artwork as well. Right now I am liking these simple collection collages...




I saw the movie MR. BROOKS last night....I am disturbed for life yet again due to a movie. So sick some people are....who comes up with these horrificly scary movies....and what scares me most is, how many people do you think go to the movies and don't react to murder or have the same interest as the characters in the film? I felt dirty after watching it. ewwwww

On a happier note....I LOVE CUPCAKES!
Iggi made the cutest carrot cake icecream cone cupcakes with mini marzipan carrots and homemade vanilla whipped cream on top. They were perfect. So delicious...and the mini fake carrots are too cute...with their dill greenery.

NEW ENGLAND

My quick trip to New England was fabulous...it is so gorgeous up there...also I forgot how different it was. We were all over the place, Boston, Newburyport, Durham, Hampton, and Portland. People are a whole lot more hippie, casual, smart, and opinionated. The weather is all over the place...when we got there it was rainy and in the 40s 50s...by the time we left it was 80s 90s...it would change within an hour.

The scenery is especially gorgeous. The trees were all in bloom...I love love love the apple blossom trees. Also the beaches and islands are so amazing, so blue and from every angle there is a beautiful picture to be taken.












10 days was the perfect amount of time to visit lots of people and do lots of things without feeling too rushed. The highlight of my trip was being away from the Florida heat and being able to sit by the water, or go for a walk, and go to small little shops that each sell something unique and interesting. I wish Tampa was a bit smaller, a whole lot more cultured, and a smidge colder.

I'm back from the Caymen Islands and Playa del carma. I had a nice/fun time, but unfortunetly I came home sick sick sick. I have nothing to do but play on my computer. I guess thats not so bad.

Everyone was taking the cruise buses to private islands for $30.00 a person. For $2.50 Nathan and I took a Caymen bus/cab to the public beach. They drive crazy and they don't stop for pedestrians. There was hardly anyone on the beach.
